Dr. Ezzedine Ben Zaghib
Dr. Ezzedine Ben Zaghib is a prominent scholar of Islamic jurisprudence and Islamic manuscript heritage with extensive expertise in the objectives of Shariah and Islamic financial transactions. He holds two PhDs in Islamic Sciences from the University of Ez-Zitouna, Tunisia, specializing in Usul al-Fiqh (the principles of Islamic jurisprudence) and Maqasid al-Shariah (the objectives of Shariah). He served as Chairman of the Fatwa and Shariah Supervisory Board at Al Salam Bank, Algeria, for 18 years, and positions in the Shariah Supervisory Board of Takaful and Real Estate companies. He is also a member of the Standards Committee of the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI). He is also an honorary member of the Fiqh Academy of India and a member of numerous advisory and editorial boards across the Muslim world. Dr. Ben Zaghib has authored numerous books, over 30 academic papers, and over 250 articles on Islamic law, objectives of Shariah, Islamic finance, Takaful insurance, and other topics, making him a leading voice in contemporary Islamic and economic studies.
